We know Prague 8 up close
We live here, we work here and we know what works in Prague 8 — and what has not worked for a long time. We are standing in the elections as neighbourhood contacts with local knowledge, experience and specific priorities.
We are your neighbours from Prague 8
8žije is made up of independent candidates from Prague 8 with the support of Praha Sobě. What we share is local knowledge, practical experience and the will to do local politics more understandably — from transport, schools and green space to public space, municipal flats and how the town hall manages its money.
We are ready to take responsibility

Václav Stránský
„A town hall that is a partner for everyday life.“
He has spent his whole career managing projects in the international environment of the aviation and automotive industries. He lives in Karlín and watches how Prague 8 works in everyday reality — from transport to public space to the way services function. In local politics he focuses on the practical things people deal with every day: safety in the streets, the state of the pavements, transport, schools and how the town hall works. He is standing for mayor of Prague 8 with one aim: for the district to work reliably and predictably — as a partner for residents' everyday life.
